Two convicts make a daring escape from prison and take several hostages before hiding out in an abandoned town. However, despite the hostages' warnings, they are completely unaware of the fact that the very same town they're using as shelter is the site for a military exercise -- where the next morning an atomic bomb is set to be dropped.
