The geometric motifs present on the surface of this area rug are inspired by the traditional designs of the ancestors of the Young Weavers of Momostenango. This group works together to provide for their families and preserve Guatemalan weaving traditions. Featuring designs in midnight and poppy against a champagne body, the rug is handwoven from 100% wool fibers, with petite fringes on the ends. According to the artisans, the motifs are representative of the unity found among communities of hardworking people.
