Ordinary powered speakers, with only a single amp per channel, suffer when one driver wants more than its share of power, causing the other to be underpowered. This can cause distortion or even speaker damage. By using a separate amp for each driver, we ensure that each tweeter and each woofer gets all the power it needs.
