The handsome mask by Daniel Nyadedzor features a slender face, elongated by a graceful horn-shaped headdress. The narrow visage is adorned with aluminum plates, whose texture suggests decorative scarification or tattoos. Carved of rich sese wood and polished by hand, it is enhanced by blue and green emulsion paint and finished with white clay and neutral polish, lending an antique appearance. Its name, Ayekoo, means simply congratulations. Nyadedzor works with his brother creating authentic tribal masks of outstanding quality.
