Pátzcuaro is a charming town in central Mexico, not far from Morelia. Founded sometime in the 1320s, it was, at one time in its colonial past, capital of the state of Michoacán. Today, Pátzcauro remains well-known for its Day of the Dead celebrations, and it has been designated as one of the 100 Historic World Treasure Cities by the United Nations. Here, an ancient and weathered wall surrounds the Sagrario Temple, which was begun in 1693 and completed 200 years later. Michael and Darian present their photograph in a passe partout of acid-free mat board.
