Six-sided peyote blossoms pose on the crown, forehead and cheeks of a dazzling beadwork mask. Called jicuri, peyote forms the centerpiece of Huichol ritualism. Kawuyomaire, the deer appears on each eyebrow while corn grows on the chin in an extraordinary design by Higinio Hernández. The crown indicates the mask should be used by men.
