This course describes the need for QoS mechanisms in IP networks. It describes the two conceptual QoS models (Integrated Services and Differencetiated Services), basic technologies, Classification and Marking, Queuing Mechanisms, Traffic Shaping and Policing, Congestion Avoidance, Link Efficiency, Signaling Mechanisms, MQC, and IP over ATM. The course focuses on the DiffServ model. Who Should Attend The course is targeted at pre- and post-sales technical engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and/or troubleshooting QoS on a network. Also, those individuals that are working toward their CCIP certification.
