A collection of women from Guatemala's Kaqchiquel community, the Yama Aj Chixot Artisan Group, work together to craft beautiful accessories. They hand-weave this jewelry case from cotton on the foot pedal loom. The jewelry case features a combination of iris and royal blue stripes, finished with zigzag motifs across the center. The jewelry case opens with a zipper to a cotton lining that features a zipper pocket on one side with three loops for hanging jewelry. On the other side, seven open pockets and a zipper pocket can be used for storing small jewelry items.
