An image of sapient assurance, this mask personifies a man of wisdom from among the Ewe. His eyes are closed to expression while his wide forehead features captivating patterns akin to tribal markings. Daniel Nyadedzor hand-carves this mask from sese wood, which he then covers in yellow and white clay. An embossed aluminum plate on the forehead completes the image of the esteemed wise-man and it is for this reason Nyadedzor calls this mask Ngo, forehead in the Ewe language.
