| He's in the army now! Heartthrob Renaldo Rossano (Mario Lanza), charismatic star of the New York Grand Opera, is drafted and music fans everywhere mourn. But one fan is delighted: Renaldo's top kick (James Whitmore), an opera buff who wants the new recruit's autograph. And his help. You see, the sarge has a sister (Doretta Morrow) who sings, and she could sure use a break. When the sister turns out to be beautiful as well as talented, everything's in place for romance, fun, and lots and lots of magnificent music.
