When a hapless insurance clerk falls in love with the boss' daughter and sells a big life-insurance policy in order to impress her, he doesn't realize that he's just insured the most notorious gangster in the city. Now to keep from losing everything, he dedicates his life to keeping the mobster alive--a man for whom every police officer and every other mobster in town is gunning.
