Illustrating Buddhist doctrine, Seksan Sing-on portrays a cluster of pink lotus flowers in different stages of development. Some are buds, some in full bloom. Buddha taught that all living creatures exist within the cycle of life – birth, age, death – but a wholesome existence guided by proper understanding, contemplation, and concentration releases one from it. With loving realism, Sing-on depicts Thailand's preferred offering to Buddha.
