Supported by a cane, a man stands on a two-headed serpent, the protrusion on his back carefully emphasized. According to ancient civilizations in America, a person with a hunched back was believed to be powerfully mystical and wise, and therefore highly revered. Giant sculptures would be carved in their honor. Working with ceramic, Angel Ceron replicates a sculpture dated 200-600 AD from Mexico's Occident cultures.
