Walter Jose Acosta finds inspiration in the artistry of the Cupisnique culture which flourished in northern Peru between 1500 and 1000 B.C. Acosta replicates the formidable image of a feline with bird-like traits, highly treasured image in the Cupisnique cosmogony. The sculpture is crafted by hand with ceramics and natural pigments for color.
