A drive that runs floppy drives is called the floppy disk drive. Floppy drive comes in standard 3.5-inch size and holds 1.44 megabytes of data. Floppy drives can be internal or external. Internal Floppy Drives are attached to the systems while External Floppy Drives are portable. The type of interface for External floppy drives is important as it determines the compatibility with the system to which it has to be attached. Interface type doesn’t matter for internal floppy drives. We recommend the System Drill Down or the Service Tag look up feature in the Parts For Your Dell tool to choose the correct Floppy drives for your system.
