Diamonds emerge within the colorful bands hosted by aqua in this table runner from Guatemala. Community Association of Tzutujil Women Artisans weaves the table runner on a pedal loom with cotton yarn they have previously dyed with sacatinta leaves to create the blue hues; chilca leaves for green, axiote for yellow, and coffee beans to obtain the rich brown. The artisans finish the fringe by hand.
