Zapotec artisan Carmen Ruiz selects a modern palette of colors for the design of this tablecloth. She uses natural pigments to prepare the dyes in a palette of purple, violet, white and yellow. Ruiz weaves the cotton tablecloth on a traditional pedal loom and finishes it by hand knotting tassels on the borders.
