Gerardo Gutierrez of Nicaragua crafts a work of art that is just as useful as it is beautiful. The jatoba wood cutting board cleverly contains the shape of a chef's knife that connects the board and its handle. Inspired by his own passion for woodcraft, Gutierrez now trains others at the art so that they can support their families.Though the board is dishwasher safe, for best results hand wash with mild detergent and water. Do not soak. A light rubbing with vegetable oil periodically will help to preserve the wood.
