Hand-carved from odum wood, this traditional West African decorative stand portrays a terrifying creature honored in stories and folklore. Abdul Karim Star uses locally-made tools to sculpt the piece, and creates the crocodile motif with precise inlays of copper wire. Embellished with sheets of embossed brass and finished with mansion polish, this is a superb example of Star's creativity.
