The sun is long down, replaced by the glare of neon. Provocatively dressed teen girls prowl the sidewalks, and Ph.D. candidate Lois Lee is there too, hoping to interview these young traffickers in the Hollywood sex trade. Lee soon finds more than a subject for her dissertation. She finds a cause. Kathleen Quinlan (Apollo 13, Family Law) portrays Lois, whose Children of the Night non-profit organization has rescued kids forced into prostitution since its founding in 1979. Mario Van Peebles (Damages), Lar Park-Lincoln (Knots Landing) Wallace Langham (the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star credited in this telefilm as Wally Ward) are among the talented cast in a meaningful tale of compassion and courage.
